The beam of sunlight hits the books - the words - and spills forwards across the shelf creating characters, motion, emotion, space, time, narrative, temporality – everything that is theater.
My favourite moments: the first seconds when the stage is empty and you're not quite sure what you're looking at, about 7:40 when the figures remind me of the creatures of light at the end of Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal, 8:30 for the rolling transition to the third act, and 18:00 for the flickering candle that closes the show.
