No one watching
My second film in a series about the unexpected beauty of light. The simple play of light and dust. But notice how as the Sun moves through the sky, more and more of the dust is revealed, the light on the plant, ever so much more subtle.
Music is Intermezzo from Goyescas by Enrique Granados
Below is my first attempt at making this film. After some time had passed, I realized that it wasn't really what I had intended. I leave it here as a record, a proof of process.
The structured light on the leaves of a house plant in contrast to the apparently random movement of dust. Here, I have taken it further and imagined what a plant would do if it were as free as that dust.
Jealous of the dust, what would a plant do if it could dance like no one was watching?
